포토 편집 툴로 Iris 와 함께 쌍벽을 이룰 만한 애플리케이션으로 유명하죠.
다들 알고 계실 겁니다.
원래 Pro 버전 말고 그냥 FilterStom 이 있었죠.
나중에 Pro 버전이 나왔는데, iPad 전용으로 만들어졌습니다.
유니버셜인 FilterStorm 은 Pro 버전에 비해 용량이 조금 더 나갑니다.
그리고 기능에서도 차이를 보이죠.
인터페이스는 Pro 버전이나 오리진이나 비슷합니다.
궁금해하실 것 같아 기능 한 번 적어드릴게요.

가장 큰 차이점이 뭐냐고 물어보신다면 아무래도 레이어 작업이 되겠죠.
블러라든지 화벨, 크롭 조절, 텍스트, 샤픈, HDR, 노이즈 등의 주 기능들은 비슷합니다.
하지만 결정적으로 다중 레이어 작업이라든지, 자동 노출 보정 등은 Pro 버전에서만 가능하지요.
뭐 이런 차이를 두기 때문에 가격이 저모양일까도 싶습니다만..
그래도 가격이 무려 $ 14.99 나 한다는 건 부담이 되죠.
왜냐하면 오리진은 $ 3.99 거든요.
약 4배 정도 차이가 나다보니..
Pro 버전의 인터페이스는 확실히 Pad 에 최적화된 것은 사실입니다.
유니버셜인 오리진도 Pad 에서 구동할 경우 Pro 버전과 비슷한 인터페이스를 보여주긴 합니다만..
기능상의 차이가 몇몇 있기 때문에 인터페이스가 완전히 같을 순 없죠.
아래는 Pro 버전의 인터페이스입니다.
아래는 오리진을 iPad 에서 구동했을 때의 인터페이스입니다.
Pro 버전과 오리진 모두 갖고 있는데, 아이폰에선 이제 가급적이면 편집 작업을 하지 않습니다.
그러다보니 이젠 오리진은 뒷전입니다.
아예 설치도 안 할 정도니까요.
다만 패드를 갖기 전까진 오리진 버전을 꽤 만지작 거리긴 했었습니다.
허나 Pro 버전으로 넘어오면서 다루는 기능들이 훨씬 더 좋더군요.
그건 직접 느껴보셔야 알겠지만, 제가 위에 나열해드린 기능이 뭔지 알고 계신다면
그 차이에 대해선 어느 정도 짐작이 가실 겁니다.
아무튼..
Pro 버전이 업데이트가 되면서 한 번 끄적여봤습니다.
편집 보정으론 Luminance, PhotoForge2, SnapSeed, FilterStorm Pro 를 사용합니다.
또한 iPad 2 에서 유일하게 촬영용으로 사용하는 앱은 8mm HD 뿐이죠.
나름 8mm 의 노이즈가 iPad 2 의 열악한 화소와 맞물리면서 괜찮더군요?
그리고 i메시지 덕분에 사진따위를 옮기려고 별도의 앱을 사용하지 않아서 좋더군요.
동영상은 아예 8mm HD 로 촬영하던지, 태양광이 잘 먹어줄 땐 기본 비디오로 촬영해도 괜찮습니다.
사실 동영상 편집은 잘 안 하니까요.
사진을 주로 다룬다면 i메시지로 옮기는 게 좋습니다.
앱을 따로 설치할 필요도 없고, 그걸로 인해 정렬을 어떻게 할지 고민할 필요도 없으니까요.
